The Thing Called LIFE

5

It is complicated. It has always been. The REALITY is you can’t escape or hide from it. It is always on the lookout  to screw you over and over again. And here I am, writing from a place that hurts. A place full of disappointments, emptiness, bitterness, broken friendships and loneliness. I have tried to make sense of it all but can’t seem to.  How do you make sense of it all? What is life anyway? John Lennon described it as “what happens when you’re busy making other plans”. If you were to ask me at this point, I would have no clue. Life sucks but it is still very BEAUTIFUL. How can it be? That is because everyone hits rock bottom at some point in their life. You can choose to run away but life is “Reality” by name and no one runs from Reality. I have decided to face it, to look it in the eye and screw it back. To take a cleanse from all that has been holding me, to open up to fresh starts and to have a positive outlook on everything. After all trials and tests are part of life. It is what makes us Human and Life a complete cycle.

Below are quotes to inspire you.

“Don’t be afraid of your fears. They’re not there to scare you. They’re there to let you know that something is worth it.”
C. JoyBell C.
It is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you’re going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.”
C. JoyBell C.
“There will be a few times in your life when all your instincts will tell you to do something, something that defies logic, upsets your plans, and may seem crazy to others. When that happens, you do it. Listen to your instincts and ignore everything else. Ignore logic, ignore the odds, ignore the complications, and just go for it.”
Judith McNaught, Remember When
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…”
Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!
“You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It wont happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.”
Joel Osteen, Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential
“Happiness is not the absence of problems, it’s the ability to deal with them.” ― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free
